We recently held our annual APAC Users Conference in Adelaide, South Australia, and the energy in the room was undeniable. Over the course of two days, more than 60 attendees from 28 different organisations came together, representing four countries and seven of Australia’s eight states and territories.
This was more than a gathering; it was a major networking event for the industry and the region, where leaders in emergency management connected face-to-face to share their experiences, swap ideas, and explore new ways to strengthen their operations. We welcomed both first-time attendees and seasoned participants who have been to more than ten conferences, creating a dynamic mix of fresh perspectives and deep expertise.
Building Momentum Through Knowledge Sharing
From the opening remarks to the final conversation over coffee, the program was designed to spark connection and inspire action. Nine client presentations and eight Juvare-led sessions showcased the incredible diversity of approaches to emergency management across APAC.
Our Global CEO, Rajib Roy, set the tone early, speaking about the importance of community and collaboration. Even after a 36-hour journey to get to Adelaide, he found himself recharged by the atmosphere:
“The level of energy and enthusiasm I saw in our customers and teammates was the perfect antidote to my 36-hour flight jet-lagged exhaustion. I truly got caught in the moment with the level of excitement at the conference.”
Attendees heard firsthand from organisation’s including Western Australia Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Western Australia Main Roads WA, Bushfires NT, National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre, and South Australia State Emergency Service, sharing both operational successes and lessons learned. Partner presentations, such as ICEYE’s satellite-driven capabilities, and Juvare product roadmaps for WebEOC, JAI, and Analyze, offered a glimpse into the future of the tools that power the region’s response and recovery efforts.
Networking at the Heart of the Event
While the agenda was rich with content, the real magic happened in the conversations, over tea breaks, lunches, and at two formal networking events. These moments allowed attendees to connect across jurisdictions and disciplines, finding common ground and sparking ideas that will live on long after the conference.
For Sam Klietz, EVP & Chief Revenue Officer, seeing the creativity of the APAC community in action was a highlight:
“Spending time with Juvare’s clients in Australia is always a highlight. The passion that this group has for managing emergency response efforts across the APAC region is second to none. The creative use cases to leverage the power of WebEOC to support all aspects across planning, response, and recovery is truly inspiring.”
That passion was clear in every interaction, whether it was a new user learning how to operationalize workflows for the first time, or a long-time client demonstrating advanced customizations that push the boundaries of what WebEOC can do.
Looking Ahead Together
By the end of the conference, one thing was clear, this event continues to be one of the most important touchpoints for the APAC emergency management community. Attendees left with actionable strategies, stronger connections, and a shared sense of purpose for the year ahead.
From Ian Downey, General Manager, Juvare Asia Pacific
‘There was a truly unique energy in the room, what stood out most was the genuine excitement about what’s coming. There’s a real sense of anticipation for the next 12 months, and it’s clear that our community is not just ready, but eager, to achieve great things together. Plans are already underway for next year’s APAC Users Conference, and we can’t wait to share more details soon. Stay tuned for the official announcement of the dates and locations, and get ready for another year of collaboration, innovation, and resilience across the region.’
